Fittingly entitled “Strangers,” Tuesday’s “This Is Us” season premiere devoted ample focus to three unfamiliar characters.

Two — Jennifer Morrison’s Cassidy and Asante Blackk’s Malik — would ultimately cross paths with main characters in the show’s present-day timeline.

Played by Blake Stadnik, the third character factored into a big twist.

Initially introduced without a name, the legally blind singer would ultimately be revealed as Jack Damon, the grown-up son of Toby and Kate. His storyline exists even farther into the future than the show’s previous flash forward.

As the episode was revealing the big twist, Jack was performing a powerful song before a big audience. That song was “Memorized,” and it is now available on digital platforms.

“Memorized” is performing particularly well on the US iTunes store, where it occupies #16 on the all-genre song sales chart.
