The #3 debut marks a career-best for the acclaimed artist.

Released on July 12, BANKS’ third studio album is fittingly titled “III.”

In another fitting development, the album debuts at #3 on this week’s edition of the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.

The position represents a new career high for BANKS, whose previously studio albums “Goddess” and “The Altar” peaked at #12 and #15, respectively.

Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart ranks albums from all genres based on pure/traditional US sales (and does not include unit from track sales or streams). Only Ed Sheeran’s “No. 6 Collaborations Project” (#1) and 311’s “Voyager” (#2) sold more pure copies this week.

The new BANKS album concurrently debuts at #1 on Internet Albums, #2 on Alternative Album Sales and #9 on Digital Albums. Billboard has not yet announced its placement on the overall Billboard 200.
