The new Rob Thomas album debuts prominently on this week’s Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts.

Entitled “Chip Tooth Smile,” the album earns #3 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart. Said chart ranks albums based on pure/traditional US album sales; only Hillsong UNITED’s “People” and P!nk’s “Hurts 2B Human” sold more copies this week.

“Chip Tooth Smile” ties 2009’s “Cradlesong” as Rob Thomas’ second-highest charting solo album on the chart. His only higher-ranking album is “…Something To Be,” which earned #1 on the chart.

The new album concurrently starts at #13 on the Billboard 200, which account for pure album sales, track sales and track streams.
