The new “Neotheater” debuts as AJR’s highest-ranking album on the two most crucial Billboard album charts.

The LP starts at #4 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart, which ranks albums based on pure/traditional sales. Only Hillsong UNITED’s “People,” P!nk’s “Hurts 2B Human,” and Rob Thomas’ “Chip Tooth Smile” sold more copies this week.

The album meanwhile starts at #9 on the overall Billboard 200, which accounts for pure album sales, track sales and track streams.

AJR’s 2017 release “The Click” previously held the high marks on both charts. It earned #42 on the pure sales chart and #61 on the Billboard 200.
