Powered almost entirely by interest in the original version, Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” shot to #1 on last week’s Billboard Hot 100.

Thanks to combined activity for the original version and the new Billy Ray Cyrus remix, “Old Town Road” stays at #1 on this week’s chart.

Noting the significance of the remix’s contribution, Billboard’s chart now formally credits Billy Ray Cyrus as a featured artist. The veteran, therefore, occupies #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in his career.

“Old Town Road” dominated the weekly US sales race, while setting the all-time record for single week streams. It also posted big gains at radio.

In short, it is a legitimate behemoth.
