Ellie Goulding & Diplo’s “Close To Me” was #7 on last week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

It should move up to #4 this week.

The collaboration received 5,318 spins during the first three days of the March 10-16 tracking period. Up 4% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Close To Me” at #4 on Mediabase’s building/real-time chart.

As it does not face an imminent threat from below, “Close To Me” should have no trouble retaining is Top 4 ranking through the close of tracking.

Should it indeed reach #4, “Close To Me” will become Goulding’s highest-ranking pop hit since “Love Me Like You Do” hit #1 in 2015.
