Last year, Brandi Carlile performed a full-band version of her song “The Joke” on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Thursday, she returns to the show with a stripped, acoustic version of the song.
The performance comes on the heels of a big Grammy Awards ceremony for the singer-songwriter. That big day included specific award recognition for “The Joke,” as well as the album on which it appears “By The Way, I Forgive You.”
Thursday’s “Ellen,” which will air this afternoon, also features a visit from Ken Jeong.
You will not have to wait until this afternoon to watch Carlile, however. A video of her performance follows.
