Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper released “Shallow” at mid-day Thursday.

By Thursday night, it had predictably shot to #1 on the US iTunes sales chart.

“Shallow” sits in the pinnacle position as of press time at 9:30PM ET. It seized the throne from Avril Lavigne’s “Head Above Water,” which reached #1 early Thursday morning.

“Shallow” appears on the soundtrack to the upcoming “A Star Is Born,” starring Gaga and Cooper.

Eminem’s “Killshot” (#3), Marshmello & Bastille’s “Happier” (#4), and Imagine Dragons’ “Natural” (#5) complete the current Top 5 on iTunes.
