Interest in the album — this week’s best-selling and most-consumed release — is overwhelmingly responsible for McCartney’s ascent to #1.
Eminem, who topped last week’s Billboard Artist 100, slips to #2 this week.
Lauren Daigle takes #3 thanks to the release of her new “Look Up Child,” while BTS grabs the #4 position. Drake follows at #5.
The late Mac Miller (#6), Post Malone (#7), Imagine Dragons (#8), Russ (#9) and Ariana Grande (#10) also land in the Top 10. Miller and Russ, like McCartney and Daigle, are at new peaks.
