Songs by the late Aretha Franklin occupy the Top 4 spots on the all-genre US iTunes sales chart.

As of press time at 5AM ET Saturday, an Ariana Grande song occupies the #5 position.

“breathin,” that song, appears on Grande’s newly released “Sweetener” album.

Its early iTunes success is definitely not surprising. Fans and critics have identified “breathin” as a standout from the new LP.

It, moreover, appears atop the iTunes “Best Of The Week” playlist. The “Best Of The Week” list is positioned prominently on the iTunes storefront.

“breathin” is one of two Grande tracks in the Top 10. “God is a woman,” her current radio single, is #8.
