Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You (featuring Cardi B)” is on pace to claim #1 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The collaboration received 7,269 spins during the first three days of the July 22-28 tracking period. Up 24% from the count at this time last week, the tally slots “Girls Like You” at #1 on Mediabase’s building/real-time chart.

While “Girls Like You” does not maintain a huge lead over the #2 and #3 songs, it possesses a clear momentum advantage.

Taylor Swift’s building #2 “Delicate” (6,962 spins) is only up 3% week-over-week, while Marshmello & Anne-Marie’s building #3 “FRIENDS” (6,900 spins) is up 9%. Assuming the three songs roughly maintain their current paces, “Girls Like You” will hold a clear lead by the end of the week.

“Girls Like You” is only in its eighth week on the chart.
