CHVRCHES’ “Love Is Dead” Debuts At #5 On Billboard Top Album Sales, #11 On Billboard 200

“Love Is Dead” meanwhile becomes the band’s second #1 on Top Rock Albums.

“Love Is Dead,” the third LP From CHVRCHES, predictably lands at or near the top of this week’s key Billboard album charts.

The new release starts at #11 on the overall Billboard 200, which ranks albums based on the sum of pure sales, TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500). The position marks the band’s second-best ranking on the chart.

The trio’s sophomore album “Every Open Eye” entered and peaked at #8, while its 2013 debut “The Bones Of What You Believe” debuted and peaked at #12.

“Love Is Dead” meanwhile sets a new CHVRCHES high on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart. The album claims #5 on the listing, which ranks albums based exclusively on pure sales.

“Every Open Eye” and “Bones Of What You Believe” started (and peaked) at #7 and #12 on the pure sales chart, respectively.

“Love Is Dead” additionally becomes CHVRCHES’ second career #1 on the genre-specific Top Rock Albums chart. “Every Open Eye” also earned #1 on that listing, while “Bones” peaked at #5.
