Jimmy Fallon Helps Justin Timberlake Confirm Super Bowl Halftime Show Gig

Timberlake will perform during Super Bowl LII.

After weeks of rumors and speculation, the news is finally officially.

Justin Timberlake will headline the upcoming Super Bowl LII halftime show.

Timberlake made the announcement in a short skit with Jimmy Fallon, who hosts “The Tonight Show” for NBC.

NBC will be broadcasting the big game on February 4, 2018.

Timberlake will be taking the stage thirteen years after XXXVIII, at which Timberlake played the halftime show with Janet Jackson, P. Diddy, Nelly and Kid Rock.

That set notably included the “Nipplegate” controversy, in which Timberlake exposed Jackson’s breast to the audience.

The incident would also popularize the term “wardrobe malfunction.”
