Benefiting from “on the hour” airplay support from iHeartMedia stations and the excitement one would expect for a new P!nk single, “What About Us” had a mammoth opening day at pop and hot adult contemporary radio.

The song closed Thursday with 1,211 pop radio spins and 525 Hot AC spins.

The former airplay count positions “What About Us” at #32 on Mediabase’s building pop chart, which ranks songs based on airplay for the first five days of the August 6-12 tracking week.

“What About Us” meanwhile takes #27 on the building Hot AC chart.

The single will not receive quite as many spins on Friday and Saturday. It will surely receive enough, however, to remain prominently positioned on both charts as they go final.

It may very well move higher.
