Taylor Swift continues to move toward her first diamond certification in the US.

“Shake It Off,” the lead single from her 2014 album “1989,” just went 9x platinum.

Issued by the RIAA on June 8, 2017, the certification confirms 9 million US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

In reaching 9x platinum, “Shake It Off” breaks the tie it had with the 8x platinum “Love Story” and becomes Swift’s most-certified single in America.

It also moves within 1 million units of a coveted diamond (10x platinum) honor.

— June 8 also brought a certification for Swift’s “State Of Grace.” The “Red” album track received a gold honor, which signifies 500,000 units.
