The wait is over — Selena Gomez’ “Bad Liar” has arrived.

The new single was made available to radio and digital platforms as the clock struck midnight EDT.

Written with frequent collaborators Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter and producer Ian Kirkpatrick, “Bad Liar” finds Gomez singing over the bass line from Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer.”

If forced to compare “Bad Liar” to a previous Gomez song, one may say the new single features the same low-key vocal delivery found on “Revival”-era hit “Hands To Myself.” But the reality is that “Bad Liar” is unlike anything Gomez has previously released.

Given the singer’s popularity, it is sure to make a big initial impact. Is it strong enough to hold up over the long run?
