Cher To Recieve Icon Award, Perform “Believe” At 2017 Billboard Music Awards

Another performer has been confirmed for the BBMAs.

Earlier this week, dick clark productions revealed a handful of performers for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.

Thursday, it added another name to the bill.

The legendary Cher will perform her hit “Believe” on the May 21 awards show. It will mark her first awards show performance in over 15 years.

In addition to performing, Cher will receive the ICON Award at this year’s show.

“I’m honored to receive the 2017 Billboard Music Awards ICON Award and take the stage to celebrate my love of music with my fans,” said Cher. “Seeing so many powerful artists – especially female artists emerge and take their place in history through the years – has been incredible. I’m honored to be amongst the previous ICON Award winners and to celebrate this milestone achievement by performing ‘Believe’ on the show.”

Previous ICON winners include Prince and Celine Dion.
