Drake’s “More Life” Set To Claim #1 On Third Straight Billboard 200

Drake’s “More Life” is pacing for a third week as America’s most-consumed album.

According to Hits Daily Double, the mixtape/playlist is expected to generate 130-135,000 US consumption units (album sales + track sales/10 + track streams/1500) during the current tracking week.

The tally will earn “More Life” a third week atop the Billboard 200 consumption chart. Its closest competition will likely come from Ed Sheeran’s “Divide,” which should generate roughly 90,000 tracking week consumption units.

— While “More Life” will lead in overall consumption, it will not win the pure sales race. Hits expects the album to sell 16-19,000 pure US copies this week, which will position “More Life” at the bottom of the Top 10 (at best) on Billboard Top Album Sales.

With “Divide,” “Beauty And The Beast,” MercyMe’s “Lifer” and Mastodon’s “Emperor Of Sand” all expected to sell between 29,000 and 35,000 pure US copies this week, it is too early to project a winner with any degree of certainty.
