James Arthur’s international smash “Say You Won’t Let Go” has officially attained platinum status in the United States.

According to the RIAA, the certification was issued on March 2, 2017.

The platinum honor confirms 1 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

“Say You Won’t Let Go” is on the rise at the pop and hot adult contemporary radio formats in the US. It has thus far peaked at #23 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Say You Won’t Let Go” is the first James Arthur song to earn a certification in the US.
