Ed Sheeran’s “Divide,” which has only been in the market for five full days, already ranks as 2017’s best-selling album in the US.

Available data suggests “Divide” has already sold over 250K pure copies in the US. No other album, new or old, has even sold over 230K since the year began more than two months ago.

Hits projects “Divide” will have sold over 315K pure US copies by the close of tracking on Thursday. The figure will position “Divide” as a convincing #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart.

It will also receive a huge lift from TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500). Hits projects it could generate over 435,000 consumption units from sales, TEA and SEA combined. That figure will earn “Divide” #1 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart.
