“Tangled: The Series” does not begin its first season until next March, but Disney Channel is demonstrating a big commitment to the show.

The family-oriented cable network just ordered a second season of the animated series.

An extension of the popular Disney animated film, “Tangled: The Series” finds Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi reprising their lead voice roles. Alan Menken and Glenn Slater will return to handle the music.

The Disney Channel version of “Tangled” will launch with the “Tangled: Before Ever After” movie at 8PM ET/PT on March 10. “Tangled: The Series” will then premiere at 7:30PM ET/PT on March 24.

“The story takes place between the events of the 2010 feature film and the start of the 2012 short film, ‘Tangled Ever After,'” says Disney Channel of the project. “With a visually vibrant animation style, the series follows Rapunzel on her adventures as she acquaints herself with her parents, her kingdom of Corona and its people.”
