The “Montevallo” album era established Sam Hunt as one of country music’s biggest stars, and his next chapter is predictably off to a good start.

Hunt’s new single “Body Like A Back Road,” which arrived early Wednesday morning, is already near the top of the US iTunes sales chart.

It is #3 of 9:25AM ET Wednesday morning. Only ZAYN & Taylor Swift’s “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” and Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” hold higher positions.

“Body Like A Back Road” will receive ample opening day support at country radio, where Hunt scored four #1s during his previous album cycle.
