Ratings for the sixth season “Scandal” premiere pale in comparison to the fifth season opener.

They do, however, represent an improvement over the season five finale.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “Scandal” drew a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating and 7.67 million total viewers.

Last year’s premiere drew a 3.3 rating and 10.25 million total viewers. The finale posted a 1.8 rating and 6.65 million.

ABC’s Thursday night also included “Grey’s Anatomy” (2.6, 9.52 million) and “How To Get Away With Murder” (1.5, 5.40 million). “Grey’s Anatomy” was the night’s #1 show in adults 18-49 and total viewership.
