Ratings: The CW’s “Riverdale” Starts Modestly

Riverdale [CW]

The CW’s heavily hyped “Riverdale” premiere received strong feedback, but it performed modestly from a ratings standpoint.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, the episode drew a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating and 1.37 million total viewers.

While neither number is bad by network standards, both are disappointing in the context of a heavily hyped premiere.

The CW led into “Riverdale” with “Supernatural” (0.6, 1.71 million).
