As we move into the latter half of the week, Ariana Grande’s “Side To Side (featuring Nicki Minaj)” looks set to remain #1 on Mediabase’s pop radio airplay chart.
The hit received 10,415 spins during the first four days of the December 18-24 tracking week. Up 0.6% from the count at this point last week, the tally comfortably slots “Side To Side” at #1 on Mediabase’s building chart.
Maroon 5’s building #2 “Don’t Wanna Know” (9,349, +7.4%) and Alessia Cara’s #3 “Scars To Your Beautiful” (9,131, +7.4%) are both making bigger gains, but it is highly unlikely they will close the gap by week’s end.
“Side To Side” is vying for a third week atop the Mediabase chart. Should it succeed, it will become Grande’s longest reigning pop radio #1 yet. She previously spent two weeks on top with “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” and a week on top with her Jessie J and Nicki Minaj collaboration “Bang Bang.”
