Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” Erupts As Hot AC Radio’s Most Added Song

Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” predictably received an enthusiastic early reaction from hot adult contemporary radio programmers.

Picked up by 75 Mediabase-monitored stations on impact, Mars’ new single ranks as Hot AC radio’s most added song.

The count more than triples that of the next-most added song.

Train’s “Play That Song,” which claims second place on the add board, received 22 weekly adds. John Legend’s new “Love Me Now” follows with 18 adds, while The Weeknd’s “Starboy (featuring Daft Punk)” takes fourth place on the strength of its 12 pickups.

A weekly add count of 10 slots Goo Goo Dolls’ “Over And Over” as fifth-most added.

Credited with 7 adds each, Bastille’s “Good Grief,” Daya’s “Sit Still, Look Pretty,” and James TW’s “When You Love Someone” tie for sixth-most added.

Three songs follow in a tie for ninth place; Alessia Cara’s “Scars To Your Beautiful,” The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey),” and We The Kings’ “Sad Song (featuring Elena Coats)” each landed at 6 new stations.
