The follow-up to Shawn Mendes’ “Treat You Better” is about to go for pop radio adds.

Republic confirms that “Mercy,” the new single from Mendes’ “Illuminate,” will impact pop radio in conjunction with the October 11 add board.

“Mercy” has already started to develop traction at pop radio; influential San Francisco station 99.7 NOW added the single last week.

The aforementioned “Treat You Better” is currently #3 on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

“Illuminate,” the album on which both songs appear, recently debuted atop the Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts.
