Wednesday’s “Empire” was not as hot as the previous week’s premiere, but it still easily ranked as the night’s top performer in adults 18-49.

It also ranked as the night’s most watched program.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Empire” drew a 3.6 adults 18-49 rating and 9.58 million total viewers. Last week’s season three premiere drew a 4.2 and 10.87 million audience members.

Despite the decline, “Empire” was still Wednesday’s top show. The closest competition in adults 18-49 came from ABC’s “Modern Family” (2.3). CBS’ “Survivor” was the #2 show in viewers (9.12 million).

— FOX led into “Empire” with “Lethal Weapon.” It drew a 1.9 and 7.05 million viewers this week. Last week’s episode posted a 2.2 rating and 7.93 million in total viewership.
