The Chainsmokers & Halsey’s “Closer” Reaches Top 5 As Pop Radio’s Greatest Gainer

The rapid rise continues for The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey).”

This week, the international smash rises three places to #5 on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart. It garnered ~13,170 spins during the September 4-10 tracking period (+2,134).

This week’s spin count bests last week’s by a whopping 2,134 plays, which represents pop radio’s greatest weekly airplay gain.

“Closer,” which is the week’s lone addition to the Top 5, has only been on the pop chart for six weeks.
