Green Day’s “Bang Bang” Earns #1 At Active Rock Radio

Last week, The Pretty Reckless’ “Take Me Down” reached #1 on the Mediabase active rock airplay chart.

This week, Green Day’s “Bang Bang” seizes the throne. And it does so in just its fourth week on the chart.

Played ~1,846 times during the August 28-September 3 tracking period (+212), “Bang Bang” rises one place to #1.

“Take Me Down” falls to #2 with ~1,725 tracking period spins (+27).

Up two places, Metallica’s soaring “Hardwired” garners #3 on the strength of its ~1,661 weekly plays (+195). Pop Evil’s “Take It All” holds at #4 with ~1,459 (-51), while Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Dark Necessities” drops two places to #5. RHCP’s former #1 hit received ~1,292 tracking period spins (-225).
