July 25 brought new RIAA certifications for songs on Justin Bieber’s “Purpose.”

“What Do You Mean?,” the lead single for the project, was officially crowned 5x platinum. “Mark My Words” concurrently went gold.

The certifications respectively confirm US unit totals of 5 million and 500,000. Under the RIAA’s digital singles program, a unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.
