The Chainsmokers & Halsey’s “Closer” Debuts At #9 On Billboard Hot 100

It was the week’s best-selling digital single. It generated an impressive number of first-week streams and proved popular with radio programmers during its first full week of availability.

Unsurprisingly, The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” debuts prominently on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.

“Closer” starts at #9 on this week’s edition of the all-encompassing chart, which ranks songs based on the aforementioned three metrics.

“Closer” instantly becomes The Chainsmokers’ third-highest charting hit; only “Don’t Let Me Down (featuring Daya)” (#3 peak) and “Roses (featuring ROZES)” (#6 peak) reached better Hot 100 positions.

It, meanwhile, becomes Halsey’s highest-charting hit; her previous high mark was the #31 peak achieved by Justin Bieber’s “The Feeling,” on which she appears as a featured artist.
