Def Jam remains mum regarding the next official single from Rihanna’s “ANTI.”

In the interim, “Sex With Me” — viewed as a potential candidate — has been receiving attention at urban radio.

Played 173 times during the July 31-August 6 tracking week, “Sex With Me” ranks as the Mediabase urban panel’s #76 song. It held the #91 ranking last week.

28 stations — 15 of which represent new supporters — contributed to the weekly spin count.

“Sex With Me” is definitely under consideration for a formal push, but readers should not take the early airplay as absolute confirmation.

The airplay does, however, confirm that urban radio is interested in “Sex With Me” as an official single. Rhythmic radio is also interested; the song went as high as #63 at the rhythmic format earlier this summer.

The next Rihanna single will serve as the official follow-up to “Needed Me,” which spent five weeks atop the Mediabase urban chart and two weeks as the #1 song at rhythmic.
