Andy Grammer [ABC]

Andy Grammer’s fresh new single claims the top spot on this week’s Mediabase hot adult contemporary add board.

“Fresh Eyes,” the new Grammer single, was added by a format-leading 23 Mediabase-monitored stations this week. The support comes as the song enters the Top 50 on Mediabase’s building airplay chart. It may have a shot at the Top 40 by the time the current tracking week concludes.

Picked up by 18 stations, Major Lazer’s “Cold Water (featuring Justin Bieber & MØ)” ranks as Hot AC radio’s second-most added song. James Bay’s “Hold Back The River” takes third with 14 adds, while Gavin DeGraw’s “She Sets The City On Fire” claims fourth on the strength of its 11 pickups.

Each added by 9 stations, Ariana Grande’s “Into You” and Shawn Mendes’ “Treat You Better” tie for fifth.

This week’s other notable Hot AC options: Wrabel’s “11 Blocks” (8 adds, 7th), Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For (featuring Rihanna)” (7 adds, 8th, tie), Fitz And The Tantrums’ “HandClap” (7 adds, 8th, tie), and Katy Perry’s “Rise” (7 adds, 8th, tie).
