The Band Perry’s August 11 TODAY Show performance will predictably mark the television debut of new single “Comeback Kid.”

The news was confirmed in a Monday morning press release.

NBC’s August 11 TODAY Show will be broadcast live from the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Given that the trio’s “Live Forever” was selected as an official Team USA anthem, it is far from surprising that The Band Perry will be performing on the Olympics-themed broadcast.

NBC listings say The Band Perry will be performing during the 7-9AM and 9-10AM portions of the August 11 broadcast.

Per The Band Perry, “Comeback Kid” chronicles the “narrative of what the three of us have been feeling over the past year, but also something bigger.” The song was released to digital services and country radio Monday.
