Chainsmokers & Halsey, Frenship & Emily Warren, Hailee Steinfeld & Grey, Enrique Score B96 Adds

Chicago’s B96 added four songs to its playlist this week. Two have connections to The Chainsmokers’ recent pop radio chart-topper “Don’t Let Me Down.”

Reporting in conjunction with the August 2 add board, the influential pop station confirms that it has picked up The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey),” Frenship + Emily Warren’s “Capsize,” Hailee Steinfeld & Grey’s “Starving (featuring Zedd),” and Enrique Iglesias’ “Duele El Corazon.”

“Closer,” which premiered Friday and is impacting this week, is the follow-up to the aforementioned “Don’t Let Me Down.”

“Capsize” earns B96’s support two weeks prior to its official impact. Credited vocalist Emily Warren co-wrote “Don’t Let Me Down.”

“Starving” impacted late last month — and is already comfortably inside the Top 40 on Mediabase’s airplay chart. “Duele El Corazon” has been gaining traction in recent weeks; the original version features Wisin, and a new remix featuring Tinashe and Javada was recently serviced to radio.
