Almost immediately upon making its US iTunes debut, Major Lazer’s new “Cold Water (featuring Justin Bieber & MØ)” soared to #1 on the store’s single sales chart.
There it remains as of 7PM ET Friday evening.
In addition to making a splash on the sales chart, “Cold Water” is also making instant inroads at pop radio. The song is receiving “on the hour” airplay from iHeartMedia stations — as well as heavy support from some non-iHeart channels — and should thus blast into the Top 40 on this week’s official airplay chart.
