DNCE [ABC]

DNCE’s debut single “Cake By The Ocean” officially seizes the throne at hot adult contemporary radio.

Spun ~6,647 times during the May 15-21 tracking week (+145), “Cake” rises to #1 on this week’s Mediabase Hot AC chart. It was #2 last week.

The single, which becomes DNCE’s first radio #1, seizes the throne from Lukas Graham’s “7 Years.” Played ~6,298 times this week (-406), the song drops to #2 after three weeks on top.

Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” holds at #3 with ~5,600 weekly plays (-214), while a weekly spin count of ~4,941 (-335) keeps Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away” stationary at #4.
