The Chainsmokers & Daya, Nick Jonas & Tove Lo Headed For Pop Radio’s Top 15

Two collaborative singles should crack the Top 15 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The Chainsmokers’ “Don’t Let Me Down (featuring Daya),” thus far the leader of the two, is up to #15 on Mediabase’s building/intraweek airplay chart after the April 17-23 tracking week’s first four days. It received 4,340 spins within that window, a count that bests the mark at this point last week by a massive 32.6%.

Given the rate at which it is gaining and the absence of competition from below, “Don’t Let Me Down” will have no trouble remaining in the Top 15 through the close of tracking.

It will actually improve its position when the chart goes final. Even if it does not leapfrog any additional songs — and it very well may — it will receive a one-place boost since twenty one pilots’ building #11 “Stressed Out” is due to be removed as a recurrent this week.

That recurrent removal is why one can also conclude that Nick Jonas’ “Close (featuring Tove Lo)” should land a Top 15 position this week. It is only #16 on the building chart with 3,677 spins (+8.3%), but the elimination of “Stressed Out” would bump it up to #15 on the final chart.
