Rachel Platten’s “Better Place” Eyed As Next Single

Rachel Platten [ABC]

With her “Stand By You” fading at the hot adult contemporary and pop radio formats, a question has naturally been emerging: what will be the next single from Rachel Platten’s “Wildfire?”

The answer may have just been answered.

Columbia recently made “Better Place” available to hot adult contemporary radio programmers via the AllAccess radio delivery service. While not tantamount to confirming an official push, the move reflects Columbia’s current mindset regarding the next chapter of Platten’s “Wildfire” era.

“Better Place” or not, the next “Wildfire” single will have big shoes to fill. Previous singles “Fight Song” and “Stand By You” both spent multiple weeks at #1. The former is certified 3X platinum in the United States, while the latter is gold.
