Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi,” “Born This Way” Reach 4X Platinum In US

February 29, 2016 brought a handful of new RIAA single certifications for Lady Gaga, including two of the 4x platinum variety.

According to the RIAA, Gaga’s “Paparazzi” and “Born This Way” both reached 4x platinum on Leap Day.

Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, the 4x honor confirms a US unit total of at least 4 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams (previously 100, retroactive scoring may apply).

Gaga’s other new certifications are as follows (some songs, including the aforementioned “Born This Way,” received multiple certifications. Only the highest ones are listed below):

The Edge Of Glory – 3x platinum
Telephone – 3x platinum
Love Game – 3x platinum
You And I – 3x platinum
Alejandro – 2x platinum
Judas – 2x platinum
Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) – gold
