“Spotlight” Named Academy Award Winner For Best Picture

Best Picture – the 88th Annual Oscar ceremony’s final award – has been awarded.

It was awarded to “Spotlight.”

The film, which also won for Best Original Screenplay, was named the year’s best movie over “The Revenant,” “The Big Short,” “Brooklyn,” “Bridge Of Spies,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “The Martian,” and “Room.”

The award reveal came right around midnight, marking the end of a three-and-a-half hour Oscars ceremony.
