Prelim Ratings: “The Vampire Diaries,” “Originals” Gain Viewers For Crossover

A crossover event led “The Vampire Diaries” to week-over-week gains in adults 18-49 and total viewership; it spurred a viewership gain for “The Originals.”

Nielsen fast national data says Friday’s “The Vampire Diaries” posted a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating and 1.169 million total viewers. The numbers best the 0.4 rating and 1.014 million viewership mark drawn by the previous week’s edition.

“The Originals” followed with a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 1.056 million total viewers. Last week’s installment drew the same 0.4 rating but only 870,000 total audience members.
