ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” Received 568 Opening Day Plays at US Pop Radio

While not as substantial as that afforded to Rihanna’s “Work (featuring Drake),” ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” received ample day one airplay at American pop radio.

The song received 568 Mediabase-monitored spins on Friday, January 29, which marked its first day of release. The tally positions “PILLOWTALK” at #46 on Mediabase’s building pop radio airplay chart, which is measuring airplay for the January 24-30 tracking week.

Because some of the 568 spins were of the promotional variety, one should not expect it to the song to mirror that spin count in each of the next few days. One should, however, recognize that “PILLOWTALK” is firmly on the pop radio radar.

“PILLOWTALK” marks the former One Direction member’s debut solo single.
