Late Night Ratings: “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” Dominates, “New Year’s Revolution” Rises

Metered market data is available for the late night portion of the ABC, NBC, and FOX New Year’s Eve specials, and it predictably confirms dominance for the ABC broadcast.

Per metered market data, the 11:30PM -1:15AM portion of ABC’s “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest” averaged a 10.0 overnight household rating. It drew a 7.5 adults 18-49 rating in the Top 25 markets.

The corresponding portion of last year’s broadcast drew a 10.7 overnight household rating. It posted a 7.3 adults 18-49 rating in the Top 25 markets.

The 11:30PM-12:30AM portion of NBC’s “New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly” averaged a 4.3 overnight household rating and drew a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating in the Top 25 markets. The corresponding portion of last year’s broadcast managed a 4.9 overnight household rating and a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating in the Top 25 markets.

The 11PM-12:30AM portion of FOX’s “Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution” posted a 3.1 overnight household rating and a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating in the Top 25 markets. Both numbers top those of last year’s broadcast, which posted a 2.6 overnight household rating and a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating in the corresponding timeslot.
