Tinashe’s “Player” Debuted With 24K First Week Sales

Tinashe’s “Player (featuring Chris Brown)” debuts at #3 on this week’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. It starts at #9 on the Billboard Hot R&B Songs listings.

Those bows are owed to the song’s opening week sales and streaming activity.

According to Nielsen Music, “Player” drove approximately 24,000 paid US downloads during the October 2-8 tracking week. The tally earns “Player” the #35 spot on this week’s Billboard Digital Song chart.

Among debuts, only Miley Cyrus’ “Hands of Love” (#29) starts higher on that listing.

“Player” concurrently generated 1.3 million US streams during the October 2-8 tracking week. Billboard notes that 39% came from Spotify.

Editor’s Note: The aforementioned numbers account for both Tinashe’s solo version and the collaborative Chris Brown release.
