Report Claims Rihanna’s “Anti” Will Arrive on 11/6; Another Source Says No (Updated)

Update: Conflicting reports have emerged regarding Rihanna’s “Anti.”

While Hits Daily Double says the album is due to arrive on November 6, Billboard cites a source that refutes the story.

Instead of simply denying that the date has been confirmed, the Billboard source outright says that the November 6 date is incorrect.

Hits Daily Double earned credibility earlier this fall by first reporting the (later confirmed) release dates for Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” and One Direction’s “Made In The AM.” Billboard, meanwhile, carries a more authoritative position within the music media space.

It will be interesting to see which scoop proves accurate.
===========================

Following months of rumor, speculation and gossip about her “R8” project, Rihanna finally offered something definitive at a MAMA Gallery event earlier this month.

She confirmed that the album will be called “Anti” — and released official cover art.

What Rihanna failed to provide was a release date, but a new report may serve to answer what she left unanswered.

According to Hits Daily Double, “Anti” is set to arrive on November 6.

The date, which precedes the One Direction/Justin Bieber releases by one week and the rumored Adele launch by two weeks, would position Rihanna for a #1 debut.

Unclear thus far is whether Rihanna will precede the release with another single. The superstar has been absent from the radio scene since her “Bitch Better Have My Money” peaked at the urban and rhythmic formats earlier this year.

Neither Rihanna nor label sources have confirmed the date.
