Eric Paslay’s “High Class” Ranks as Country Radio’s Most-Added Song

Eric Paslay [UMG]

Picked up by 38 Mediabase-monitored stations this week, Eric Paslay’s “High Class” edges Granger Smith’s “Backroad Song” for country radio’s most-added honor.

The Smith song, which fared well in its own right, received pickups from 37 monitored stations.

“High Class is a song for everyone,” says Paslay of the song he co-wrote with Corey Crowder and Jesse Frasure. “It’s about seizing the moment, putting your worries aside and enjoying a night out as if you have no cares in the world.

“High Class” is the first single from Paslay’s forthcoming sophomore studio album.

“I’m excited to release this song as the first look into my second album. I promised myself and my fans that I would always do my best to never record the same song or the same album twice. I feel like I have kept that promise, and I can’t wait for my fans to hear more new music!”

Added by 30 stations, Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Man” grabs this week’s third-most-added honor. Dustin Lynch’s “Mind Reader” follows as fourth-most-added with 12 pickups, while Brad Paisley’s “Country Nation” and George Strait’s “Cold Beer Conversation” tie for fifth-most-added. Both songs earned adds from 11 Mediabase-monitored country stations.

Other country options this week: Zac Brown Band’s “Beautiful Drug” (10 adds, 7th-most-added), Rascal Flatts’ “I Like The Sound of That” (8 adds, 8th-most-added), Kelsea Ballerini’s “Dibs” (7 adds, 9th-most-added, tie), and Sam Hunt’s “Break Up In a Small Town” (7 adds, 9th-most-added, tie).
