Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” Going Top 10 at Pop Radio; Ellie Goulding, Elle King Top 20

“Stitches” has already comfortably established itself as the biggest hit of Shawn Mendes’ career.

This week, it will become his first Top 10 hit on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

“Stitches” received 7,933 plays during the first five days of the September 27-October 3 tracking period. Up 17.5% from last week’s count, the tally earns “Stitches” the #10 spot on Mediabase’s building pop airplay chart.

It will easily retain its Top 10 position — and may even reach #9 — over the tracking week’s final two days.

— While “Stitches” prepares to reach the Top 10 on Mediabase’s official airplay chart, a pair of songs are poised to claim Top 20 positions.

Ellie Goulding’s “On My Mind” and Elle King’s “Ex’s and Oh’s,” those songs, are currently #18 and #20 on Mediabase’s building airplay chart, respectively.

The former song received 3,740 plays (+76.5%) during the tracking week’s first five days; the latter earned 3,401 (+23.9%).

With only two days remaining in the tracking week, neither song is in danger of losing its Top 20 position.
