Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” Enters Pop’s Top 15; Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Go Top 20

Shawn Mendes [FOX]

Like Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” and Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dreams,” Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” enjoyed one of pop’s five greatest airplay gains this week.

Like both of those songs, it reaches the Top 15 on this week’s edition of the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

Spun ~7,177 times during the September 6-12 tracking week (+1,454), “Stitches” jumps four places to a new peak of #13 on this week’s chart.

“Stitches” is by far Mendes’ most successful radio single.

— While “Stitches” celebrates its inaugural Top 15 appearance, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Downtown” earns a place in the Top 20. Thanks to a weekly spin count of ~5,723 (+1,821), it jumps five places to a new peak of #19.
